This Heart crochet garland is quick to make and looks really nice on a mantle, a shelf, a window, just about anywhere that needs some love!
The hearts are crocheted separately and then connected together on a long crochet chain.
I usually do not decorate my home for every season and holiday, but lately, I like hanging a garland on my mantle and changing it up for every holiday.
So here is my Valentines’ garland if you would like to give it a try! I used thick acrylic yarn so it’s really easy to work with especially if you are a beginner. So this is a beginner-friendly project.

How do you make this Crochet Heart Garland?
Make 12 hearts ( more or less for a longer or shorter garland) following this free pattern. I found this pattern on Pinterest, it is actually for a heart basket but the diagram is for the base which is a heart.
If you would like help reading diagram patterns, please check out this article from Yarnspirations.
After making all the hearts. Start a crochet chain, on the 15th chain add the top of the first heart with a slip stitch, chain 4 and add the other top half of the heart with a slip stitch.
Next, make about 10 chains and add the next heart. Keep going till all the hearts have been added. Your crochet heart garland is ready.
The heart garland that is shown here measures a little over 5 feet (around 65 inches).
Hang it up wherever you like and enjoy your garland!
