CROCHET
I just had to start with crochet as it is my favorite hobby! It is relaxing, you can make many beautiful useful things for yourself, your family, your home, etc. really the possibilities are endless!
Crochet is very easy to learn and all you need is a crochet hook and some yarn! In fact, you can even start with finger crochet, in which case you only need yarn!!
A great resource is the Bellacoco crochet channel on YouTube.
And nowadays the web is full of free patterns and helpful videos to help you if you need to get started or even if you are a seasoned Crocheter!

KNITTING

Knitting of course is very much similar to crochet. I never really took to knitting, but I know a lot of people who love to knit. My grandmother is of course my number 1 inspiration, she is always doing something, you will never find her sitting idle even for a minute!
She knits and has been knitting for more than 60 years!
Here again, there are lots of resources to help you get started. Here are some great ones!
I love the website thesprucecrafts.com, you can find so many great resources about knitting here. In fact, this website is great for a lot of the hobbies mentioned!

EMBROIDERY
There is just something about embroidery that is so relaxing! I love it and the most important thing is that you can create your own designs, use your own colors, and create a masterpiece! Whether it is a wall hanging, a hoop, a t-shirt, a pillowcase, a towel, etc, you can create something beautiful and be proud of yourself!
The below picture is my attempt at embroidery! I am a beginner but I just love doing it. The process of planning your design, choosing the fabric, the colors of thread, the stitches you will use, and finally seeing the finished piece that you made is so rewarding!
For many embroidery tutorials, I recommend thesprucecrafts.com, click here to visit their embroidery page.

I’ll be honest, I did know a little about Macrame, but never really paid much attention to this hobby until recently. I was on Instagram one day and came across someone’s Macrame page, I have been in love with Macrame ever since!
It looks really easy, it is all about tying knots in macrame cord to create wall hangings, bags, pillowcases, keychains, earrings, plant hangers, wristlets, etc
The result is just so good! This is my next hobby to try!

I recently came across this video on YouTube about how a sketchbook can change your life! Take it with you wherever you go, and sketch in it every single day. You can check it out here.
It made me want to try, so I did. I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination but I just decided to draw something every day to see if it helps or if I enjoyed it. Let me tell you it does help, when you get into the zone of creating your masterpiece, nothing can take that joy and peace from you. Your troubles are far away and for that time they seem insignificant! So why not try it out today! All you need is a sketchbook and some pencils, markers, pens, etc.
Below are a few pages from my sketchbook!
Here are my Amazon picks for sketching:
SEWING

You do not need a fancy sewing machine to sew. Hand sewing is fun and calming too! Even though you have a sewing machine, it makes your life easier to make bigger projects!
If you want to learn to sew, you can just start with small projects that can be hand-sewn. I did mention sewing as different from embroidery as it is different. Embroidery is stitching designs on fabric, but sewing is making things out of fabric.
Simple projects to start with are felt coasters, fabric scrunchies, face masks, pillow covers, pencil cases, pot holders, etc
These are some simple face masks that I stitched by hand:
The picture below is some felt birds that I hand-stitched:
