HOW DO YOU MAKE THESE CROCHET FLOWERS?
Here are the different free patterns that I tried:
SUNFLOWERS:
This free pattern is from the Hopeful Turns You Tube channel. These sunflowers are so cute and make great earrings! I looked at many patterns but settled on this one as it looked like a sunflower. Besides that, the Hopeful Turns You Tube channel is a great resource for learning crochet and also for lovely free patterns. She explains very well and even a beginner can learn easily. I used embroidery floss and a size 1.5mm crochet hook to make these cute little sunflowers. These are going to be made into earrings, as I plan on introducing a Spring Flower earring collection in my Etsy shop!
wouldROSEBUD WITH LEAF
This is the cutest little flower that you will ever see! It is also the easiest and quickest one to make. You can find the free tutorial on the Fiber Flux YouTube channel.
For this little rosebud and leaf, I used size 10, Aunt Lydia’s crochet cotton thread.
You can also find a cute and easy rose necklace and earring set at the Yarnbowl Crochet YouTube channel.
LILAC
Golden Lucy Crafts has these cute lilac flowers on her blog. Easy and quick to make as well, you can find a detailed post on how to make them and even a video. Please visit her blog to see how it’s done.
Also, while you are at her blog, do check out this great idea using crocheted flowers as wall decor!
I used embroidery floss and a size 1.3mm crochet hook to make these flowers. These will be included in my Spring Flower collection coming soon to my Etsy shop!
DAISIES
These daisies are by Creggy’s crochet YouTube channel, follow her tutorial to make these cute flowers.
I used embroidery floss and a size 1.5mm crochet hook for these daisies. These earrings will be added to my Etsy shop soon as part of my Spring Flower collection.
FIVE PETAL FLOWER
These flowers are from a diagram pattern on Pinterest. I already have these flowers as earrings on my blog in the post 10 free earring patterns.
They can be made as flower motifs, I tried making these flowers with velvet yarn, crochet thread, and cotton yarn. They are easy to make and look really pretty. Add a bead or pearl in the center for a really good look, as I did in some hair clips on my blog post-Crochet Hair Accesories
You can find my flower earrings based on this pattern here in my Etsy shop.
FOUR PETAL FLOWER
The pattern for this flower is on Pinterest here. This is also a diagram pattern. I used cotton yarn to make these flowers.
YARN FLOWERS
These yarn flowers by Flo and dot are really cute and very bright and cheery. Do check out her Instagram page and blog for this and many more lovely patterns! Her color choices and patterns will just brighten your day! The pattern for these flowers is on one of her posts about these flowers, just click on her beautiful pictures and you will be sure to find it on Instagram.
For making these flowers I used cotton yarn from Hobby Lobby and a 4.5mm crochet hook.
I will be trying her very pretty Knitting Needle Flowers next!
PUFF FLOWERS
The pattern for these cute and dainty flowers can be found here on stringbbeans Youtube channel.
I used embroidery thread and a gold bead in the center.
DOUBLE COLORED FLOWERS
This pattern is a diagram found on Pinterest. Check it out here. In the picture, the flowers are worked all in one color but I worked the center in one color and the petals in another color. Again for this flower, i used embroidery thread and a 1.5mm hook.
LONG PETAL FLOWERS
I cannot seem to recall the pattern I used for these flowers, when I find the link I will share it. Until then this pattern from Pinterest is very similar.
Let me know if you try any of these flowers. Do leave a comment down below or share pictures with me on Instagram and Facebook. Please do follow me on PINTEREST, INSTAGRAM, and FACEBOOK @lovetostayhomeblog to know when I post something new.
NOTES:
When working with embroidery thread I used all 6 strands. But if you like you could use just 3 or 4 threads for a more delicate flower.
The size of your crochet hook will change according to the thickness of your yarn or thread. For most of these flowers, I used a 1.5mm crochet hook. But if working with yarn, use a bigger hook.
Thank you to all these wonderful artists for sharing these beautiful patterns with us for free.
